At the turn of the 21st century, the CEO of Darkroast Coffee-America's largest and most popular corporation-launches a major holiday called National Darkroast Day. The holiday is supposed to be a national celebration complete with baristas, festivities, free coffee, and an entertaining Moon Laser Show. Compelling story that develops quickly and leaves you eager to see what lies ahead for the protagonist and his friends. Clearly penned by a detailed and imaginative mind, you can almost taste the "Mind Melt" with each page. It may make you switch to decaf by the end!

Man vs. Evil Coffee Mega-Corporation

From the first sip...er...page, National Darkroast Day [best read with a double latte] absorbs the reader into a colossal, metaphorical struggle between a balanced way of life and overindulgent American consumption. Presenting a consequential message for today's consumerist society packaged within a optimistic and humorous saga, the reader can experience a gripping battle between and evil manifested as toxic coffee served with a cherry on top.

The conspiracy theory is really true!

As an ex-barista and coffee addict, I just have to say, "Now it all makes sense." This is a great read that kept me laughing all the way through as I encountered characters I knew well from my coffee shop days. Once you read this, you'll still be hopelessly addicted, but at least you'll think twice about trying new flavors.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read over the summer or any other time. The story is very well written by an author who clearly knows his story and characters well. This new author has a long career in his future. I can't wait until the next book comes out!!!
