Nashua's Bravest - The History of Firefighting in Nashua NH

A Nashua native, GARY LEDOUX grew up in Nashua's Crown Hill area. He applied to the Nashua Fire Department in 1973 but did not meet the physical height requirement. Moving to nearby Amherst, NH, he became a volunteer for the Amherst Fire Dept; where he served for five years. Ledoux's full-time interest was the automotive industry where he enjoyed a successful 48-year career which took him first to Florida and then to-southern California. He was employed for 29 years with American Honda; most of that time at their national office in Los Angeles. He began writing professionally in 1994 producing scores of feature articles and column pieces of both automotive business and old-west history for several different magazines. He has published five books, one covering automotive history and four covering old-west history. Ledoux retired in October 2017 and moved back to Florida where he lives with his wife, Rachel, and four dogs. He and his wife enjoy traveling in their Winnebago motor home. Book jacket.
