OUR PEOPLE ABROAD, OR RUSSIAN IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICAFrom the Author:I would like for my book to help explain the views of an immigrant, a person from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. There are too many myths, lies, and misunderstandings, and a tremendous lack of clarity that come into contact with one another on both sides of the coast. With the unbelievable speed of communication in our society, the truth isn't always readily available. Some people are not interested in learning the truth because they are rigid in their beliefs and stereotypes. Others do not trust anyone, and therefore won't trust this book either. I am writing for the third category of people: those who are open to receiving new information and learning about another view of life than that to which they are accustomed.Liana Alaverdova was born in Baku, Azerbaijan.
