NASA Successfully Crashes Spacecraft Into Asteroid: The First-Ever Planetary Defense Test.

It was a victory for NASA's strategy in the event that a catastrophic asteroid collision ever threatened mankind when the agency on Monday 26th September 2022, slammed a spacecraft into an asteroid.

The mission had been photographed by the spacecraft, which had launched its camera and a shoebox-sized partner, LICIACube, more than a week earlier.

This project included a great deal of invention and imagination, and I think it will help us understand how to safeguard our planet from asteroids in the future. By demonstrating that planetary defense is a worldwide effort, we are demonstrating that it is quite likely that our planet may be saved.
