In "An Okefenokee Tall Tale," Ezekiel is a moonshiner, with a thirty-eight slug in his skull,
who hallucinates ghosts and extinct animals. "Pecan Logs and Stuffed Baby Alligators"
follows Branch Fincher, a serial killer with degrees from Georgia Tech and Carnegie Mellon
as he drives his classic Nova north on Florida 95 with Lindy, a Miami stripper.

In "Beneath the Gray Brioni Suit," Alexa, who enjoys wearing men's Italian suits,
is the LA Mafia's accountant. While the FBI listens, she tricks her best friend
Francisco Barconi into discussing murders for hire. "Snapping Turtles and Raspberry Snuff"
follows Hiram, a gay south Georgia teenager, bow hunter, fisherman, and environmentalist
devoted to his family, UFOs, and conspiracy theories.
