GREAT book for gift giving!!!!!

I have recently re-emerged myself into the world of sewing after taking about 10 yrs off. I have sewn most of my life, though am not by any means at a level of advanced , rather I am re -entering as a novice. I have spent the last 10 yrs knitting, but realize that in some areas I can move more quickly on finished items by sewing them ,so now I am splitting my time, therefore I am on the lookout for books such as this one. I saw this book and know that the author has done some absolutely amazing things with polar fleece and like products, but this book gives me some GREAT ideas on how to whip up some quick projects that will be perfect for that. It is my goal to make most of my presents this year rather than buying them. I plan to stay in my budget this year and not be so stressed out at Christmas so now is the time to plan. I purchased this book used and saved 1/2 on to begin with! I love the pillows and different blankets,,, and,, she has one to die for cape in the book which I will make, but not in the leopard print she has done hers in. I prefer a less dramatic look ,,but still classy and warm. My black wool cape in well over 20 yrs and I am in need of a new one. She is quick to add that this project is not a " 90" minute project but well worth the effort. I am finding her books worth their price since I live in the Northern states, and we can wear these items a good percentage of the year, even on cooler summer evenings. The author is clearly THE best resource in this fantastic fabric which is SO easy to sew and so well loved. Her other books are great, this one happens to be my favorite because I can whip up some pretty great gifts in no time flat, which was my goal in purchasing the book in the first place. My Cavalier spaniel puppy will also benefit by using some of the blankets in this book as " his" throws,,, and the price of polar fleece is so inexpensive these days compared to a dog bed! I am making a few up as gifts to other pet owners also, which is all of 7$ of sale fabric and a bit of time on my part.( add some home baked dog treats and you can have a lovely gift for a minimal amount) Baby blankets and Christmas tree skirts can be custom made with some special effects that are truly personal. I am off to the fabric store(!!) as all fleece is now 50% off ( its spring here) and now I can start on my Christmas list early and not spend what I used to spend! Thanks for the well written book and the good amount of VERY clever ideas!
