Jensen's book is a classic

Jensen's Myth and cult is a classic of History of Religions, containing the best elaboration of the theory of underlying structure to cultural mythology based on such things as root crop, grain, and hunting life styles. Campbell derives his Masks of God work from Jensen (and Frobenius before him). A must read.
