Deborah Jane Mitsakos was born to a Greek family in Webster, Massachusetts. She was first inspired by the truth-seeking lyrics of Bob Dylan, Donovan & Joni Mitchell. High School is where her love of poetry began after taking her first poetry class. Her writing went silent for a time while she entered into marriage, fostered children and then adopted four of her own. She is now a grandmother. Deborah has always been drawn to the beauty of nature, and her love of wandering inspired her to begin writing again. She wishes to express her gratitude to her dear friend, Robert Eugene Perry, whose unwavering support and spirit inspired the words to write her first book of poetry.
