Mystery in Historic St. Augustine, Florida

Ms. Weltman has penned a book that kids will love for the mystery to be solved. However, at the same time, the plot is woven with bits and pieces of Florida history through its setting in the nation's oldest city--St. Augustine. I particularly liked the infusion of Jewish-Catholic heritage in the mystery surrounding the candlestick.

Deftly paints an intriguing protagonist

Two high school seniors drive to St. Augustine Florida in search of adventure but instead find a mystery which revolves around an elderly man, a missing candlestick, and a Nancy Drew-like teen investigator sure she can gain insights where the police have failed.
