Leslie Scott was sent to stay with her Aunt Sarah when her parents win a contest trip to Europe. She is unhappy over her circumstances until she makes friends with Michael Burnison and Janet Linn. A mysterious note has aroused her curiosity. She is also disturbed by "shuffling" noises in the attic over her bedroom.
