This fun read has everything a late grade school or middle schooler will enjoy: a group of snarky, but loyal teens; scary characters they suspect of stealing valuable Native American art; and a spooky green Gi-bi monster. Author Doris Holik Kelly also captures the magic of Mackinac Island in northern Michigan, a paradise for her young adventurers. Mystery of the Copper Turtle is a wholesome story parents can welcome, with just enough fright appeal to keep the kids reading.

Great family entertainment

I purchased this book on a recent trip to Mackinaw Island (after a recommendation from the clerk) and then found time to read it as a family on a recent camping trip. Found it to be suspensful and entertaining. I would definitially recommend it to young readers as well as good family entertainment.
