Very intriguing; *excellent* character development!

Ellen is a freshman at an art school in Boston who has taken a part time job at an museum. During a huge Cezanne show--a once in a lifetime experience--when everyone *expects* that someone will attempt to steal a painting, there is a theft. But the stolen item was not a painting. It was a bracelet made out of Greek gold--not very valuble at all as far as the metal's worth. Then, the culprit sends a package to Ellen in care of the museum. The package contained a bracelet that looked just like the one that was stolen. But is it a fake? And which one of Ellen's friends would ever even *think* about stealing?
