Mayakovsky's poems were first published in 1912 in the anthology of the "Gilea" "Slap in the Face of Public Taste", where he was placed, and the manifesto signed by Mayakovsky, V. V. Hlebnikovym, A. In addition, he wrote and topical satire, poetry and couplets for propaganda posters ( "ROSTA", 1918-21).
