Cedillo seamlessly blends love, drama, adventure, and the core tenets of Christianity in Myra and Joe.Myra and Joe is a modern version of the 1st century Palestine story of Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus. The narrative is placed on a contemporary platform beginning in 2014 when the Son of God is born and ending in the future year of 2047 with his final execution and resurrection. The names of the main characters differ from the biblical forms but are the same in nature. In the book, Mary is Myra and Joseph is Joe. Jesus is named Manel, a short version of Emmanuel, which means God with us; and God is El Elyon, which is Hebrew for Most High God. An outstanding feature of the narrative is one that transcends the boundaries of time and space; that is the story is happening not on Earth, but on planet Zearth. As per discoveries in the realm of Quantum Physics, there could exist another person just like me somewhere else in the universe, comparably there is also the possibility of another existing planet identical to ours, but with only a few differences; hence planet Zearth. But even these variations of time and space do not alter the true meaning of the Christmas story as the narrative adheres to the basic tenets of biblical truth. Technically, the word Christmas is not mentioned in the narrative, as Christmas did not manifest as we know and celebrate it today. It would most likely be eight centuries after Manel
