My World As I See It is a book of poetry. I have been writing poetry since the 1980s. I am a visual artist with a BA Degree in Fine Art from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. The poetry was another way of expressing myself and adding to the visual aspect of my art. My world view is influenced by my Southern Baptist upbringing and a merging with the study of other world religions and Eastern Philosophy. I have always felt that art and poetry are excellent ways of expressing our relationship with the cosmos. I believe in a one-ness of all creation. All things are interconnected and related. Past, present and future actually exist at the same time and only our perception of where we are in relation to everything else gives us the experience of linear time. My World As I See It tries to convey that interconnectedness and interrelationship between all things and all people throughout history. Cover design and thirty two illustrations in the book are all done by me.
