My Unique Talking Letters

In this series', we will teach pupils to make each letter to say its own sound perfectly. The goal is to help pupils imitate the letters to produce their sounds by mere sight. Pupils will have lasting mental picture of the sounds produced by each letter so as to automatically reproduce them any where they come across them. Each letter can be capital or lower case, but they both make the same sound. Every letter also have a name, we use the alphabet song to indicate and remind ourselves of the names of the letters. Children will discover exciting ways of writing letters by using patterns for writing each letter correctly. We also systematically blend the letters to produce two, three and four letter words. Lower case is emphasized here because most words at this stage are usually written in lower cases but provision is also made for pupils to identify upper cases in our matching sections. Mastering tricky words for each term will promote and ease reading. These experiences makes reading and spelling so exciting, easy and automatic.
