3rd Time the Charm?

Venus Gilroy is about to get married-for the third time, but she is nervous because she does not have a good track record. Two husbands, a gay lover, and three parents (bio parents and dad's lover) do not make Venus think that love is something attanable. a fun summer read

I liked this book! It's perfect for the beach or anywhere else you're looking to relax into a fun summer read. The story is adventurous, the mountain scenery beautifully described, and the characters well developed. They feel like neighbors you'd love to pop in to visit!

A book my mother and I BOTH liked.

I bought this book for my mom for her 58th birthday, thinking it would be funny and a good spring read. She said she laughed out loud so much of the time that she promptly made me read it too. We both liked the offbeat characters that somehow seemed like plausible people and the way they had to balance their romantic lives alongside familial expectations- haven't we all had trouble with that! I would totally recommend this to anyone looking to laugh and be satisfied at the end of the story.

funny-great summer read

Borrowed this from a friend, might have to buy a copy for myself so i read it again. Enjoyed it from the first page and didn't want it to end! Fast paced, hilarious characters, unexpected plot twists, I finished it in two days. It was great for reading at the lakeshore. I hope she comes out with more books as funny as this one.

This novel was a HOOT! As a middle aged mom, I found the antics of 25 year old Venus extremely funny. She has really been around the block a few times with men and yet her sweetness is so genuine. She is so confident that she can finally get it right with this new guy if only....... Her two gay dads have an uncanny way of propping her up time and again and their contributions to her growing up are priceless. I am recommending it for my book club
