My Struggle, My Life is my story growing up with Cerebral Palsy. I was born and raised in Bilpin NSW, growing up with my family who owned an apple orchard in the 1950's From there I moved to Sydney and struggled with my disability the best I could. There, I was placed into a hostel and gained employment with the then, Spastic Centre of NSW. This is where I met my wife and worked for many years attempting to live as any able bodied person. My motto was , 'never give up!' This is my story, this is my struggle as told by myself, Darrell Bennett.
