My Star-Crossed Summer

From the award-winning author of One Sweet Holiday and The Almost Lovebirds.

Sometimes getting lost is the best way to find where you belong.

Victoria Griffin is desperate to find what lights her up. After walking away from her fianc and an uninspiring job in real estate, she needs a fresh start. So when a friend offers her a job at an astronomy camp, Victoria accepts. She doesn't know anything about astronomy, or wrangling kids, but it's not like she's got anything left to lose...

The last person Noah Valentine expects to see at camp is his former best friend and the one who got away. Victoria is gorgeous, determined, and completely out of her depth-in an adorably clueless kind of way-and even without a telescope, he can see their chemistry burns as bright as ever. But he's not about to break the camp's no fraternization policy.

Working in the wilderness with the man who broke her heart is awkward. Then it's embarrassing. Then it's... amazing. But when Victoria gets a tempting offer from a dream real estate firm, she has to decide: is she brave enough to follow her guiding star, or will she settle for the road well-traveled?

Author's Note: If you like sweet, closed-door romantic comedies with plenty of sizzling chemistry and swoon-worthy characters, then welcome to Jasmine Falls Each book in the series can be read as a standalone and has a guaranteed HEA.

refreshing type of office romance

After living the life of what her perfectionist mother wants, Victoria had enough. She quit her successful real-estate job, and also broke up with her toxic ex- fiance. With her savings depleting fast, she needs a job. Good thing her friend came in with an offer of becoming a counselor at a summer camp. Without other choices, she accepts and her new co-counselor is her ex- bestfriend, and the guy she kissed in college, Noah. Not gonna lie, the premise hits a bit close to home. I can't help but relate to Victoria very much. And it was such a nice ride being in her brain because I totally understand. What I really like about this book is the balance of personal growth and romance. As for Noah, he is amazing! So amazing, that he's too good to be true. He's definitely written as the ideal book boyfriend. If anything, I do appreciate that he's not flawless. I also liked his personal growth too. Victoria and Noah's romance was honestly so refreshing to me. I love that their office romance is not your typical setting. And I honestly appreciate that they realize where they are and actually respects that they are around children. It's actually kind of cute because it has that feeling of having a crush that you see around and you can't do anything about. It's quite precious. This was such a fun and entertaining read. And I appreciate the whole plot. It was so intriguing that I kind of want to read the first book in the series. * I received an eARC of this book
