How did I get here? It's a question we've all asked ourselves. When the Devil asks herself the same question, she begins to recollect her tragic fall from grace. MY SOUL BURNED is a brutally atrocious tale of violence, sex, and despair. Narrated by the Devil herself as she elaborates on her extraordinary transformation from God's most beloved angel, to cursed outcast, to the epitome of all that is evil (Warning Contains graphic descriptions of sex, violence, and non-consensual acts.)
Could use an editor but it's a fun read and a great story

This was definitely a fun read. Comedic Horror is one those genres that you want to take seriously because naturally it's dark, but there's just so much nonsensical stuff going on that you can't help but laugh; if you have a twisted sense of humor--which I do.
I honestly love when Satan is cast as a female, in this case, we have Lucy. She's twisted, she wicked, she's downright evil; but there's still a smidge of goodness in her that she tries very hard to ignore because she would rather suffer than admit she misses God and Heaven. And tormenting God's favorite creations is just how she chooses to spend her endless life.
I really like Lucy as a character. She's about the most carefully crafted character in this book, and I think that's deliberate. I hope we get to see a sequel to this. I'd love to see Lucy and Arthur's game continue and see who ultimately wins. I'm not sure Lucy realizes how evenly matched they are.
I think I'm going to look out for more of Mr. Crockett's work, this was a fun read, and fun reads are always a great reprieve from the heaviness of life.
