Our purpose in writing this book was to glorify the Lord, help others who may find themselves and their lives turned upside down, and demonstrate the power of faith and friends. The format of the book is unique. It is comprised of my narrative of the events that transpired as I remember them. However, due to my brain injury, much of what occurred was recounted to me by those friends, family members, and caregivers who surrounded me during this journey. In addition, my husband kept a daily journal of my situation and also started writing daily reflections of this time entitled "morning thoughts". As you follow us through the days, weeks, and months, the reading will not be smooth as you will be hearing from a variety of sources and multiple vantage points.
