My Prayer Book to Christ the King

By Raphael Augustus of Monteverde

Prayers to Christ the King have a clear purpose: to order one's life under His authority. In My Prayer Book to Christ the King, supplications such as "reign in my mind," "reign in my will," and "reign in my heart" are repeated, expressing a spirituality of total surrender. It is a conscious response to man's interior disorder: where there is pride, Christ the King brings obedience; where there is confusion, He brings truth; where there is sin, He brings law, grace, and salvation.

Therefore, this prayer book seeks to form the soul to live under the reign of Christ in a practical and constant way, with humility, recollection, and fidelity. With a tone of reparation and expiation, it is a spiritual aid for those who desire to deepen their life of prayer, renew their consecration to the Lord, and acknowledge His sovereignty over the heart, the family, and daily life.

Ideal for personal devotion and daily accompaniment, this book includes a novena to Christ the King, reflections on His life and His reign, a formal surrender to Christ the King, traditional images of Christ, and biblical passages that strengthen the faith. A work intended to draw near with reverence to Jesus Christ, King of the universe, and to learn to live under His peace, His truth, and His love.
