As a woman who has just been diagnosed as Autistic Level One at 45 years old, I'd like to share my story with you. My hope is that by sharing my story, I might help you come to understand yourself better. And once you have more self-understanding, I hope that will lead you to self-compassion.
In this book, you'll learn what helped me realize I'm autistic. You'll be able to read my diagnosis report from my autism assessment with a registered psychologist. You'll learn my story, parts of which you may find relevant or relatable to you. You'll be able to read poems I've written, some of which may strike an emotional chord with you. And you'll learn meditations and exercises, some of which may help you regulate your nervous system when you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed.
