My Nightmare Neighbour is one of those events that oftentimes get swept beneath the proverbial rug and become lost to time. At first, I thought that I was the unfortunate one, but it took me a while to realise that such was farther from the truth. In reality, many have been subjected to such atrocities but have chosen to remain tight-lipped. I have suffered in silence for far too long, and many others way longer, because some aren't even alive to tell theirs. I now consider myself fortunate. Through me, I hope that my voice becomes a voice for the voiceless. May this tragic story I've endured be the triumphant beginning of many redemption stories, and even the prevention of more.

Elza Dube is one of those rare individuals who defied odds to turn bitter sap into sweet nectar. In December 1970, she migrated from Trinidad to England, hoping to escape poverty for a better life. Having no friends or family, her dream was all she could lean on. Her compassionate nature made her join the Red Cross Society. She became a registered nurse and worked tirelessly until retirement. Now, in her golden era of life, she is poised to assume the title of author. Her legacy and destiny are still unfolding and cementing themselves.
