A joyful rhyming picture book

Volume 1 of the "Flying Naptime Adventure" series from This New World Publishing, My New Town is a joyful rhyming picture book featuring bold color illustrations and a cheery story by D. R. Thompson, about Sally-Ann, a young girl who, along with her mother, grow wings during dreamtime and use them to fly freely. A playful story that teaches young folks that naptime and dreams can be fun, My New Town is an original, cleverly executed, and highly recommended picture book story for children ages 3 to 8.

Who said kids can' fly?

A fantastical journey as seen in the naptime dream of a child, offering new ways to see the world-and hinting that the wonderful adventures we experience in our dreams may be more real than we think - a concept has been seen to spark joy in young readers, who often wonder if their own magical dreams could be real. This book has received praise from children, teachers, and the media. Children's praise indicated delight in imagining that they could fly-two groups of children who read the book even began spontaneously flapping their "wings." They also praised the book's rhyming verse and illustrations, and they were thrilled to discover that they were able to read the entire book themselves, without adult assistance. In addition, at least one child in every focus group tested immediately noticed the "hint," found at the end of the book (in this case, a feather lying nearby the book's main character), that suggests that dreams can come true, and has shouted out, "It was real! Imagination and comfort

This book was bright and fun, but most of all my kids had fun thinking about flying through a city. I think it would help them have more comfort in their surrondings when they move to a new city.
