My name is Tobi: 265 days Pseudologia Phantastica

By: Herrmas, Hariette

As the author of "My name is Tobi - 265 days of Pseudologia Phantastica", I would like to warmly recommend reading this book, because it doesn't just tell a story, but opens a window into the often misunderstood depths of the human psyche. This work was born out of the desire to authentically and empathetically depict the phenomenon of pseudologia phantastica - pathological, compulsive lying - and to make the world of those affected by it more understandable.
In "My Name is Tobi - 265 Days of Pseudologia Phantastica", I take you on an emotional journey through the eyes of Tobi, a protagonist torn between reality and fantasy. For me, it was important to put his struggles, his fears and also his hope into words so that you, the readers, can feel the full complexity and tragedy of this disorder. This book is not just for entertainment, but also to raise awareness by showing how such behavior affects relationships, one's self, and the lives of those around you.

If you are interested in the deep layers of human behavior, if you want to understand why people sometimes fear the truth and get caught in a web of lies, then this book is for you. My aim is to touch you and give you an insight into a rarely discussed but significant facet of the human psyche through Tobi's story. I hope that this book will inspire you, make you think and perhaps even help you to develop more understanding for yourself and others.
