A Must Read!

I live in the Ft Walton Beach area and I have to agree, it's always more interesting when you're one of the locals and know the main characters and places mentioned in the storyline. This was such a great book to read! I have already shared the book with some of my friends in the community and they couldn't put the book down either! Highly recommend!

My, My Myra

As others have written, this was an extremely fascinating book. I also am from the local area and remember the trial and circumstances of this true crime story. This writer has an incredible ability to make you feel as though you are a part of the story and going through the trials and tribulations with the characters. The descriptions of the characters and places provides an extraordinary visual for the reader, which I believe is rare. This is true with other books from this writer. If you liked this one, check out Boatdollies and Beyond Gulf Breeze.

Lived couple of streets over when the murder happened

Wow! It was very good, I read it all in one evening. I found that I either know or at least had heard of just about everyone in the book. Having grown up in Fort Walton Beach it was like getting to revisit home. Some of the places mentioned are now long gone. I lived a couple of streets down the road from the murder scene at the time the murder happened. The book gave insight to infomation that just wasn't know before I left the area.

Fascinating story - poorly edited

Maybe it's because I grew up in the same town and went to high school with Myra (the murderess wife in this true-life drama), but I was unable to put this book down once I started reading it. I heard the same comment from other people who read the book before me. Of course it's always more interesting when you're one of the locals and know the main characters and places mentioned in the storyline, but this would be a fascinating read regardless. True crime stories usually are!I was very disappointed in the number of grammatical errors and misspellings in the book and wish the author had hired a professional editor. Even running spell check would've caught most of the errors! That's the only drawback I saw to an otherwise fascinating and well researched story.
