Perfect book for weaning!

I bought this book to read to my toddler as we prepared to wean. It's told from a toddler's perspective, and she really seemed to identify with it, especially the part where the child is sad. (It also helped that she looks a lot like the child in the book.) We read it every day, and then when we fully weaned, she would ask to read it before bed when we usually nursed, to help her understand what was going on. Because we had read this book and talked about the milk going away she grew up, she really understood and it was so much easier than I had feared. My husband thinks the pictures are weird, but my daughter doesn't care, and the story is spot on. I highly recommend this book to read as you start the weaning process!
