My Manners Hands addresses the issues of traditional manners dissolving in our society. As the book says, "Somewhere along the way, the simplest manners went away." Our world has become a place where multi-tasking is the norm, and texting and email can diminish the human aspect of communication. Partly because of this cultural phenomenon, we have lost sight of common courtesy and respectful manners. How many times have you said "Thank you," and received a "No problem," or no response at all. What about children saying, "Huh," to an adult? How did a simple, "Yes Ma'am, No Ma'am, Please, Thank you," and even a "Bless you" after a "Kerchoo," disappear in our society?
