This memoir is a lifetime journey of a man from childhood, through his teenage years, including his service in the Marine Corp that began in 1966, his participation in the conflict in Vietnam in 1968-1969, and continues to his discharge in 1972. Unable to speak of it for decades, his life progressed, with the memories of his service time buried. Through several marriages, and raising five children, he finally was moved to write his story after a close, childhood friend passed away. Now, his story includes the life of a son, a young man, a soldier, a husband and a father. Retired in 2012, after a life fully lived, he decided to finally tell the 'entire' story which began in 2022, some of which has never been told before.
