Nothing has been altered or omitted. She was in the nursing home for a number of years, and as a therapy for her hands, she wrote these books.The originals are still in safe keeping.
Her life was an example of courage and a fight against the painful and crippling disease of rheumatoid arthritis.
She spent most of her later life in and out of hospitals, never complaining, always with a smile on her face and full of compassion for the suffering of others and for those children with the disease. She was willing to be used as a guinea pig for new drugs to help others.
