My Life My Rules: Journey from Survival to Choice

By Geet Batra

Are you living your life - or the one everyone else expected of you?

From the author of the Amazon bestseller The Hare Never Lost

Zara has an answer for everything - until a stranger in a Mumbai hostel dorm asks her something so ordinary, she has to leave the room.

Zara has done everything right. Good grades, a career people envy, a relationship she's supposed to be grateful for. So why does none of it feel like it belongs to her?

What starts as a joke - a half-serious argument over what a "coach" actually does - becomes the conversation that won't let her go. From the chaos of Mumbai to the fires of Varanasi, through a betrayal she still can't name out loud and a mother's voice on the phone asking when she's finally coming home, Zara begins hearing what she's spent years talking over.

Nobody hands her an answer. Not the city. Not the coach. Not even the choice, when it finally comes.

My Life, My Rules is a story about what happens when a woman stops performing long enough to ask what she actually wants - and finds out that choosing, uncertain and unapproved, is its own kind of freedom.

For readers who:

Look successful and feel like something's missing anywayAre curious what a real coaching conversation is actually likeAre tired of books that hand out answers instead of earning them

If you've ever wondered whether the life you built is the one you'd have chosen - Zara's story will feel less like fiction and more like a mirror.

It's time to write your own rules.
