It was just a little lie. But mishap follows mishap until Wally is chased by bungling terrorist, a SWAT team, the TV news, and the National Guard. It isn't until he risks his life to save his country (and has a little chat with the President along the way) that the madcap misunderstanding finally end. . . And Wally learns that honesty really is the best policy.
As a dental professional, it's natural for me to notice a book with the words "dental floss" in the title - and that's what happened when I saw a copy of My Life as Dinosaur Dental Floss. I was looking for books for my daughter, who is an elementary school teacher, so that she could use them in her classroom. Although it's a children's book, I read it, too - and found it quite entertaining. The main character, Wally McDoogle, has an enormous imagination and finds himself in the middle of an outrageous adventure - and some broad hints are given that this wasn't Wally's first crazy adventure. And, without giving anything away that would spoil the ending of the book for other readers, here's where the title came from: Wally gets himself out of a potentially disastrous situation by becoming dental floss for a dinosaur. This book is written for children in the upper elementary school grades, but I could picture parents reading this book to younger children and then even using the humor in the book as a way to begin discussing the importance of dental floss and preventative dental care, overall.

I love all the books in this series. They are funny and easy to read and each book is a story in itself. I am collecting them all and have read about 10 or so. This is a great book for grades 4-6.
Best book I've ever read in my whole entire life!

This book was really funny. I especially liked it when Wally thought the pink gunk was an atomic bomb. I don't like to read much, but I really enjoy reading Bill's books. He makes reading fun.
A very good, well written book
