In 1972, Megan divorced her husband (taboo at the time) and was granted custody of their four children. Courage, life purpose and determination in the face of many challenges, carried her through. 1968, Megan and her best friend Adele Lucas, became business associates in their own particular fields of expertise. They were pioneers in 'Below-the - Line' Advertising, organising live promotions and events to support the print and radio media, many years before TV. Megan registered Megan Carr Promotions (Pty) Ltd in 1972. With the dynamic success of its first Oil of Olay product launch, the business poured in.
