A beautiful hardcover rerelease of the critically acclaimed manga that won the Harvey Award--with a new cover and bonus chapter.

My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness is a raw and heartfelt account of one young woman's struggles with her sexuality, mental well-being, and feelings of alienation in our modern age. Told using expressive artwork that invokes both laughter and tears, this intensely personal and insightful work was previously released in a single volume paperback edition that garnered critical acclaim from across the globe, won several awards, and topped "best-of" lists in multiple categories. This hardcover special edition features new cover art and an all-new bonus chapter by the author.

Relatable but in a comforting and liberating way

This read was comforting and sort of liberating. I think this book would do best with someone who has people pleasing tendencies and depression. This does have adult scenes so not suitable for some audiences. Reading this book does make me want to read the authors other works though!

Devoured in a not-so-lonesome night.

Like others, she touched on things that I deal with on a daily basis, lack of motivation, eagerness to win parents approval, to be liked, the glittering strength of coming out of depression then bottoming out again, ect.. It was refreshing, and a bit inspiring, to read something so open and honest in the best book format in the world. I am totally biased on that last comment, lol. I can appreciate the strength it took in detailing intimate parts of her life for the sake of getting published and living out her dream as a mangaka. The art is simple with a pink and white aesthetic adding to uniqueness of a manga memoir, perfection for the material and vibe of the story. I read this book online, in one night, and I plan to purchase a physical copy and the sequels.
