My Journey of Faith

In 2012 The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI declared that the Church would celebrate a Year of Faith from October 2012 'till November 2013. Pope Benedict resigned, giving up his office in a historic move. A new pope, Pope Francis I, was elected and moving with an energy that surprised the Church and those outside the Church, he published an encyclical, "Lumen Fidei" (The Light of Faith). I was moved to examine my faith in more detail and decided to use my column in the Scottish Catholic Observer to explore what I claim to believe and what it means for my life. This book is based on the monthly column published in 2013. As part of the research for the column I made an attempt to complete the Camino, the pilgrimage rout through the North of Spain to the shrine of Saint James at Santiago de Compostella. The account of my journey is also included in this book.
