My Journey from Federal Prison to Purpose

By Jaquala Robertson

At twenty-five years old, Jaquala Robertson was young, beautiful, carefree, and raising her three-year-old son, Jayden, with a strong family behind her. Life was good-until love introduced her to a world of fast money, drugs, control, abuse, and choices that would eventually lead federal agents straight to her door.

Sentenced to federal prison, Jaquala entered Aliceville believing prison would be the hardest chapter of her life.

She was wrong.

Freedom brought battles she never expected: motherhood, a medically fragile child who fought for his life, devastating loss, complicated love, nursing school, betrayal, and the challenge of becoming someone different from the woman who once lived by the rules of the streets.

Through every chapter, one thing remained: she survived.

My Journey from Federal Prison to Purpose is a raw story of mistakes, consequences, motherhood, faith, love, loss, resilience, and transformation. It is the story of a woman who went to federal prison at twenty-five-but refused to allow prison to become the ending of her story.

Because sometimes your worst chapter is the one God uses to lead you toward your purpose.

And just when she thought the beast inside her had finally been tamed... life gave her another reason to fight.

Part Two is coming.
