My life is large, full of contradictions and growth. My professional career was Quality Assurance, if it isn't documented it doesn't exist... As I'm in the fourth quarter of the long game, I've been pondering if I existed or not... Technically, I have nothing to show for my existence, yes my offspring, my daughters will attest to my existence, my siblings may agree I was real... however, what of my story, who knows my story? I didn't even know my story until I started this process of documenting it... Day one of writing my memoir I started off with I'm nobody from nowhere... Well, that's not true, I've had a most awesome journey with this incarnation... As with the decision process, one may not know what to do, however, they most certainly know what they don't want to do, same can be said with who they are, they know whom they are not... As I was maturing, developing, letting go of the old me to birth the new me, seemed like the advice or education system was in riddles... I really just wanted a simple answer to who I am.... what is my purpose? Truth is that nobody can tell you who you are, they will try, you will believe them for a while... and you will eventually awake to your own reality... my memoir is my story of evolution, I don't dive deep into the negative side of the process of maturing, I consciously focus on the positives and what I learned or the takeaway from the experience... My target audience is my daughters, we had way too short of a time together in the immediate sense, truth is that I barely know them, and they know very little about me. I suspect reading this book, story will become more valuable with time. Sharing working copies with my siblings and trusted friends has been interesting in that "Perspective" is everything, we each have our own unique perspective... Why would somebody that doesn't know me be interested in reading this book? I know first hand, we have more in common than we have different. The life tests, the short cuts we try to take, the take aways, learned experience, a common dialog... You may not feel comfortable writing your story, however, I know that if you took the time to think about it, write it down, your story would be most valuable to me...
