I was born in New York in Middleclass America. The product of an alcoholic depressed dad and a mom who was a borderline personality who was addicted to sex, food, spending and amphetamines. Mom molested me at age three and I can still recount the event in detail decades later. Dad molested sister, Dawn and Dawn (three- and one-half years older) molested me. By the age of twelve I was showing signs of schizophrenia and sex addiction. And the next forty years would be filled with sexual indiscretions, vivid hallucinations and delusions. Despite my schizophrenia, I have been able to organize my thoughts and organize this memoir. My family has completely marginalized this accomplishment. And now I'm competing with several hundred thousand other writers who truly believe a novel will lead them to riches. If I sell a few dozen books, I will feel as if I have suceeded.
