Well worth reading for everyone!

I attended a workshop with Lisa before purchasing this book. I learned new information in that short time which made me curious as to what this book contained. I was not disappointed in the least. I am hearing all kinds of good tips, techniques, and ways of working with my horses that I had not thought of. I love the fact that it takes a traditional approach and makes it non-traditional. Just the props used are great. My horses really reacted to them and the process. Lisa is an interesting horsewoman and a very good teacher, I highly recommend this book and what you can learn along the way.

Easy Read, Great Photos, Excellent Information!

The groundtraining information in this book is well thought out and presented in a way that is easy and fun to read. I consider myself an average horse owner, (I know a lot but never enough) and the ideas here I know will help me get to know my horse better and develop us as a stronger team. The author uses stories of horses she has worked with to describe the ground training processes. Many of the horses featured in the book, including the ones pictured in the many photos, are therapy horses from a NARHA center, but some stories are from show or trail horses she has trained. I especially like the way she comes from the horse's perspective so you can understand what your horse is thinking and then use that information to determine your next step. I highly recommend My Horse, My Partner for any horse lover, and I think there is also a DVD version. My Horse, My Partner: Teamwork on the Ground
