This book was a HUGE help for us.

My father had 3 major strokes in October of 2016. He has 4 grandchildren so I purchased this book for my son. and My sisters read it to their children. I had no idea how I was going to talk to my young son about what was happening until i found this book. In the back of the book there is resources for parents. We have since purchased a copy and donated it in honor of my father to our local library hoping that it touches another family the way it did ours.

Helpful book for grandkids

This book is geared to school age children and younger. It is a sweet story about a boy and his grandpa. It definitely deals with realities of a stroke and how it affects a family. My husband had a major stroke and we have 3 and 5 year old grandchildren. It was a perfect story for them and there are helpful hints on pages in the back of the book that guide you in what to say to your kids. I would highly recommend this book.
