This module seeks to equip teachers of English as a second language (ESL) with a simple lectures and activities on grammar to develop communicative competence in students, which can be defined as language use for meaningful and effective communication marked by fluency in both oral and written context, as well as grammatical appropriateness. Hence, the teachers must include communicative activities in their syllabus such as oral presentations, individual or group projects, free written production and spontaneous speech. Finally, the author believed that using eclectic method in teaching grammar depending on the objectives of the lessons and the learners' natures and styles of learning is highly recommended.
