Having a rare condition is not always easy. It can sometimes feel like an expedition. What happens in this book is a retelling of my life up to the point where my expedition took a wrong turn, how I pushed through and got back out on the other side. It was written mainly as a way for me to put my thoughts down and heal mentally from my ordeals, but also to help others understand Gaucher Disease and some ups and downs that can occur. So join me as I start from the beginning in the early morning on November 30th, 1980, through my childhood, the discovery of Gaucher Disease, all the way to 2018 and go through one of the toughest ordeals I have ever gone through and beyond.
