Clearly, for Ash, a career as a musician isn't exactly an option. Plus, he's cursed.Sick of playing by the rules, Ash and his three brothers escape Hell in search of freedom on Earth. But it's harder than they thought to keep their enemies off their tail . . .

The four rogues quickly become the Underworld's Most Wanted, and if they're caught, the consequences will be dire. Yet everything changes for Ash when he meets a beautiful violinist who can see through his curse. It must be too good to be true, but, no matter the risk, he has to have her.

Evangeline Gregory is just your average human. She works at a jazz bar, plays gigs on weekends . . . and, apparently, hallucinates demons.

At least that's what Eva tells herself when, moments after she meets the man of her dreams, she sees him shift into a 7-foot-tall monster. Not believing her own eyes, Eva decides to investigate and soon finds herself caught in the middle of a supernatural clusterf**k of epic proportions. But Ash isn't the only one keeping secrets, and the search for answers reveals a shocking truth that will change the course of her life forever. Or maybe just doom it. Eva and Ash will learn the path to love can be complete Hell.

Come for the demons, stay for the music.

Summary: An urban fantasy with devilishly handsome and angelically beautiful characters, sweetness with major spice, and humor that will have you giggling and laughing your way through. Full review: I want to preface by saying I loved this book and am so excited to read the rest; I already have the next two sitting on my shelf, and the fourth and fifth in my cart. But, it was hard to... connect with the characters individually because, in my opinion, the author's voice overshadowed the distinctiveness of the characters. What I mean is, there were times when I couldn't tell which character's point of view (POV) I was reading and had to go almost 2-3 pages before it became clear. The characters' thoughts were their own, but how they thought them was too similar to distinguish most time, causing me to lose whose POV I was enjoying. Further into the book, it got better, but with multiple characters' POVs, not just the main couple's, it felt a little like I was playing Where's Waldo: POV Edition, which took me out of the story at times. That said... omgosh I want more Eva and Ash! You don't have to wait long for the spice, which I was not complaining about, at all. It's spicy with a bit of sweetness, and the chemistry between the two is undeniable. And Ash's brothers, oh, I NEED more of them! They are adorable and annoying and kind (most would probably find that odd for a group of demons), and just, how could you not like them, come on. They're like a group of feral puppies. With anger issues and are, oh yeah, demons, but still puppy-like. A lot was going on with all the characters, each one having their own victories, and losses. I really want to learn more about everyone mentioned here, including Eva's parents, which I'm hoping will return in future volumes of the H*ll Bent series. The fantasy element colliding with downtown Montreal, and the world at large, was beautifully woven and smoothly inserted (no smutty pun intended) into the mundanity of Eva's life. Smooth for us readers that is; for Eva, it was more crashing windows and H*llgates. My Funny Demon Valentine was such a fun read that kept me on my toes, craving more. The humor, the heart, the heat. Everything in the story was so good, I was sad to finish it, but oh so glad to know the ending. Not to mention the gorgeous sprayed edges, the pretty quotes on the inside of both the front and back covers (of the paperback), and the matching spines for the series. There is so much to love about this book and its series, and I'm here for it.

Wonderful idea, repetitive and cringe execution

Self-insert FMC with millennial humor. MMC and supporting characters are vapid and lack depth - extremely predictable. Some traits of the characters (one of which the book is named after) are completely random and add nothing to do the story besides one or two scenes, then are never again mentioned or relevant. I enjoyed the plot, though sometimes I questioned where it was going, it was entertaining.
