This book tells the story of Mickey Mouse, a small child mouse in Squeakyland who dislikes wrestling because of his size and often plays alone. A newcomer, Neota the hedgehog, arrives from a distant land. His spiky quills keep the other mice at a distance. Mickey takes the initiative to greet Neota, inviting him to share lunch and play with building blocks. Gradually, the two become friends. One day, the other kids accidentally knock down the secret hideout Mickey and Neota built. Neota stands up for Mickey and chases Ironhead, but ends up tumbling down a slope. This incident actually helped resolve their differences, making their relationship stronger. Later, Mickey and Neota played wrestling together and discovered the fun of Neota's native language. This story teaches children that being proactive and kind can lead to precious friendships, and learning to accept others makes life more beautiful.
