When a mixed race American-German/African family moves to a "new" country, USA, from Germany, the kids don't know anyone. They are scared and nervous. As they settle into their new home and environment, they start to feel more comfortable and confident. Their dad especially and grandma help them navigate the first day at the new school and motivate, inspire and advise them. As the kids settle into their new school, they start to appreciate all the new things. They discover, explore and adapt to the new environment. They make new friends. They learn that moving to a new country, state, town or city can be scary at first, but it can also lead to new and exciting experiences. They learn that even though relocating anywhere and starting at a new school can be scary, it can also be a wonderful and exciting adventure.
