About the Author, About the Book The author thinks of himself as a regional poet, a craftsman whose work may never find a home, for competition is keen; the number of boutique presses, few. Still, write is what he must do and compete with PhDs and MFAs and wonder about the writer's art, for he believes there should be a place for authors without platform or pedigree. He lives in Kewanee, Illinois. In My Fears Relieved, the author explores the immaterial parts of human beings and their machines. He sees grace and soul as tangible and fungible assets that are sorely missing from the world today.
