This book is about a young Asian girl who is picking out all of her favorite foods at their local grocery store for her up coming birthday party. Each page has an illustrated page then across from this page is a picture of the young girls favorite food and how many items, then the number and then the number written out, perfect for starting to count and getting to recognize numbers 1 -10. Then as your child grows in their reading this book has 66 words and a word list on the last page of the book that include many site words as well as many others. The book also has a Parent's Page of things you can do that tie in with the story. This book is perfect for your child because it will grow along side your child, I myself love books like this. An added bonus is that this book is illustrated by Grace Lin which our family loves this author and writer. Hope you enjoy this book too!
