One of my favorites

I really enjoyed My Father's Face by James Robison. It is definitely a book that ministered to me deeply. James describes his childhood growing up without a real father figure and how God became his true father. He truly knows the Father's heart. I would recommend this book to anybody who grew up without a father, perhaps an abusive, absent, passive, or alcoholic father. Open up your heart to God's healing touch.

Relationship Focused

James Robison writes in such a way that the focus of the book is to realize the importance of an intimate relationship with God as Father. He applies lessons he's learned from life to this spiritual goal. He writes of people being scarred for life because of the lack of an earthly father's relationship. He contrasts that to Father God by saying "He is a Father with a limitless capacity to comfort." There are some good insightful observations in here. It's an encouraging book.

In My Father's Face, James speaks of a vivid and intimate relationship with God. He reminds us all that God doesn't want to be the CEO of our religious organization...He is our Father, and wants us to know Him as Father and,in turn, get to know the rest of His family. I heartily recommend EVERYTHING James has written without reservation.
