Kelly Ann is not boycrazy; she's G crazy. Convinced he's the only guy for her, she can't understand why her friends only insult him. In her spare moments between daydreaming about G and daydreaming about G, Kelly Ann finds time to do G's homework, defend G to her friends, and defend him to the school when he scores a soccer goal for the other team. Then she's back to dreaming about G. It takes Kelly Ann awhile to learn what her friends (and the readers) have already discovered. Rettig's genius is in informing reader before Kelly Ann catches on -even though the words are in Kelly Ann's own diary. Some might compare Kelly Ann to Bridget Jones but there are two distinct differences ---Kelly Ann is so totally teen and she has a voice all her own. If you start this book you won't want to stop until you get to the end of the second Kelly Ann book, My Now or Never Diary.
